More Fabric Destashing! and New Needlekeep

Whilst creating this new little needle keep

I kept thinking about all the fabric that still needed
to be sorted so I could let another lot leave my
studio
and
decided to create 4 more fabric packs using these gorgeous
pastel Spring prints of roses, pansies, dots
and paisley.

These images give you an idea of the quality of these cottons -
I'm sure Robyn Pandolph by Moda
is one brand name that many of you may know!

I have had these fabrics in my stash now
for at least 12 years or more

and they are still as beautiful as ever, however,
there is a limit to just how much one can
use (I'm slowly discovering!!! lol!).

Just thinking how well co-ordinated these
fabrics really are

and how beautifully they would look in a crazy quilt
or any project that would lend itself
to this range of soft colors!

I'm not sure that I will ever get over my fabric hoarding passion
but at least I have the choice to let others use some of it too!

I remember well purchasing this one
and thinking how beautiful the background
was woven behind the pink roses in a duck egg blue shade.
It is in fact a Japanese fabric
and
this one also with
the pretty pansy arrangement

with the pansies and leaves being outlined in gold.
Any way I still have 3 packs left in my

Enjoy my friends!
Treasure the days, the hours and even more, the moments!
I'll be back soon!

A Vintage Lace Necklace

A new project has been mulling around in my head
for the last couple of weeks and so now
that it has become manifest
I thought you may
like to see this.

It is a vintage lace necklace, collar or bib -
depending on how you see it -
above it is displayed
against some deep burgundy silk velvet

and the many layers of vintage and new
lace pieces have been collaged

shaped onto some soft white felt

and embellished with several pieces of jewellery
including a vintage cameo, a satin ribbon rose,
a fashioned silk rose (also by me), some
vintage buttons, lace beaded applique and mother of pearl
buttons

and it ties with a length of soft cream sari ribbon.

You can find this in my Etsy shop as it is
now for sale!
I'm linking this post to What's It Wednesday at
Ivy and Elephants blog with Patti and Paula.

Antique Lace Meets New Lace in a Jewellery Keepsake

For all of my readers who enjoyed viewing
my Jewellery Keepsake
I have created another one here today!

This one is similar to the last trifold one
and I have incorporated
both the use of
some gorgeous antique and vintage pieces of lace.

based on a cut lace linen napkin

and lined with some very soft white batting

and this is available in my Etsy shop.
The last one went so quickly that I didn't want to disappoint!
I am sure there will be more if the demand exists!
(I am sorry dear readers - this one too has now sold!).

Thank you always for coming and leaving
such kind comments. I feel blessed
to know you all!

Shabby Vintage/Antique Lace Jewellery Keepsake

Many of you, I know, like myself just love
old lace especially when it's
really old - and it is such a pleasure to work with it too.

Recently I decided to make a Jewellery trifold Wrap/Keepsake
so I pulled out a number of old pretty cotton laces (crocheted and netted), a sweet doily, a shiny Damask napkin, some cream sari ribbon, some felt for lining, a chiffon rose, some
satin applique pieces, seam binding,
faux pearls and a sweet Stirling silver Marcasite
and pearl jewellery finding
and
this was the result.

A crazy patch worked creation over the top of the
napkin (which I dyed) and

 which I lined with felt

and edged all the way around with some sari ribbon first
and then I over sewed this with some pretty fine lace.

Pockets for jewellery or your favorite cabinet cards,
love notes or postcards.

and this is how it looks when folded.

It now lives in my Etsy Shop
if you wish to see more details.

Thank you for coming to look and I'd like to remind you that
there are now 5 days left for you to enter into my
Giveaway

as part of the Grow Your Blog party.  All the details are at
the top of this page if you would like a chance to
win.
♥♥♥♥♥
Thank you everyone for your continued interest and support
in my creativity and there is so much more
creativity on the blogs to see when you visit

Just click on the button at the top of the page.
Everybody made a start at blogging at one time or another
